Digital connectivity is no longer a privilege - in today's interconnected world, it's a right. But how do we ensure that digital infrastructure projects go ahead when some ECAs are reticent to take non-sovereign exposure in emerging markets? This session considers the digital infrastructure landscape across Africa, asking:

·       Which countries are seeing significant growth in digital infrastructure? How are the region's larger economies faring in comparison to emerging markets?

·       How can ECAs better support digitalization in Africa? What can be done to plug the gap where non-sovereign backed transactions require financing?

·       What role do DFIs have to play in Africa’s digital space, and who is leading the way?
