We united deal-hungry financiers across the Middle-East & Africa in the pivotal trading hub of Dubai

For the first time ever, TXF, Proximo and Uxolo merged their flagship MENA and Africa events into one mega congress, reflecting the increased flow of credit lines from the Middle East into Africa. Our curated guest list consisted of over 500 senior dealmakers from the most active exporters, borrowers, infrastructure and energy developers, project sponsors, equity investment funds, institutional investors, debt providers, ECAs, and more across both regions. MEA 2025 brought you three days of unrivalled deal origination opportunities and strategic insight into the current export, agency, and energy finance climate.

Top takeaways included:

Beyond Oil: GCC's New Horizons - The GCC is strategically diversifying its economies away from hydrocarbons. This is driving investment in new sectors like renewables, technology, and logistics.

UAE: The Global Trade Powerhouse - The UAE is positioning itself as a global trade and finance hub. Initiatives like Operation 300 Billion and the expansion of regional ECAs support this goal.

Regional ECAs: Fuelling Non-Oil Growth - Regional ECAs like ECI, ADEX, and Saudi EXIM are playing a crucial role in supporting non-oil exports. They are providing risk mitigation, financing, and market access support.

Africa: Middle East's Land of Opportunity - The Middle East sees Africa as a key growth market. This is leading to increased trade, investment, and infrastructure development on the continent.

Sustainable Fuels: MENA's Green Engine - Sustainable fuels are a key focus for the region. Projects like Ta'ziz demonstrate the commitment to developing blue and green ammonia and methanol for both domestic and export markets.

Bridging the Gap: Africa's Infrastructure Challenge - Africa's infrastructure financing gap remains a major challenge. Estimates put it at over $100 billion per year, requiring innovative financing solutions and partnerships.

AfCFTA: A New Era for Intra-African Trade - The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) is a game-changer for intra-African trade. It will boost economic growth and attract investment, particularly in sectors like logistics and transportation.

Local Partnerships: Africa's Success Formula - Local partnerships are vital for success in Africa. This includes working with local companies, banks, and governments to navigate regulatory complexities, understand market dynamics, and secure community buy-in.

Africa's Diversity: Adapt or Fail - International companies and financiers must adapt to the specificities of each African market - a cookie-cutter approach won't work. Understanding local context, culture, and regulations is essential.

Attracting Investment: Africa's Call to Action - African governments must create attractive investment environments. This means improving governance, ensuring policy stability, and developing bankable projects to unlock private sector funding.
